Bringing a vision to life is exhilarating! There is a lot to consider when building a website - What is your primary purpose for your website?   Who are your primary users? Whether you need a website for an ecommerce business, local lead generation, or informational and entertainment purposes, we can help and are ready to get "Kreativ" with you!

What is web design and development?

In short, web design and development is a term that describes the process of creating a website. Like the name suggests, it involves two major skill sets: web design and web development. Web design determines the look and feel of a website, while web development determines how it functions.

Front-End vs Back-End Development

What the users see, and what the user doesn’t see.

What the user sees takes place in a browser and involves design and front-end development. What the user doesn’t see takes place on a server and involves back-end development. A website works the way you want it to because the front and back ends of a website are always communicating.

Elements of Web Design

  • Graphics: Logos, icons, and images on a website should match its colors, layout, and content.
  • Speed: If a website loads too slowly, users may leave before exploring it.
  • Accessibility: A website should be usable by everyone, including people with disabilities, ensuring equal access to its features.
  • Layout: This is how a website’s header, menu, content, and images are arranged. The design should fit the website’s purpose—for example, a photography site highlights images, while a news site focuses on text.
  • Visual Hierarchy: Key information should stand out at a glance. Designers use size, color, and spacing to guide users’ attention, like how headings structure this article.
  • Navigation: Menus, search bars, and site structure help users find what they need quickly and easily.
  • Color: Colors give a website personality, reinforce branding, and guide user actions. A consistent color scheme keeps the design organized.
